A Transparent Window to Music
"Simplification is the ultimate Sophistication" .... Leonardo Da Vinci
- "This speaker has things to offer that no other does, especially in putting you in the space of the recording venue... There is literally nothing else like it and is an indispensable audition if you care about the proverbial " state of the art ". Dr. Robert E. Greene The Absolute Sound - Jan. 2009
- NO BOX COLORATIONS as there is NO BOX !
- UPWARD FIRING DRIVERS eliminate the FLOOR BOUNCE which plagues most conventional designs.

- WAVEGUIDES on the Tweeter and Midrange deliver STRONG DIRECT ARRIVAL TO THE LISTENING AREA but DIMINISHED ENERGY TO THE SIDE AND FRONT WALLS.

- TWEETER and MIDRANGE drivers share a uniform ' Cardioid ' radiation pattern - conventional flat baffle mounted dome tweeter / cone drivers have dissimilar radiation patterns.
- DIPOLE BASS gives remarkably natural bass and dials out the ROOM height bass mode which plagues most box speakers.
What does all this add up to
- RIGHT UP AGAINST THE FRONT WALL - Unlike most conventional speakers, the Helsinki can be positioned right up against the front wall either side of a screen and produce excellent sound... very little of the speakers energy is radiated sideward toward the screen and rearward toward the front wall.
- ANGLING OF SPEAKERS ALLOWS FINE TUNING OF BASS AND HF. With the speaker perpendicular to the front wall only the room width mode is excited....Rotating the speaker 45 degrees excites the room length and width mode bringing up the perceived in room bass and and at the same time reducing the extreme HF..... NOTE at all times the most damaging room height BASS excess mode is not excited.
- UNIQUE SOUND STAGE FLEXIBILITY FOR STEREO OR HOME THEATER LISTENING. With the speaker aimed directly at a central listener one gets an outstanding flat response with pin-point imaging sitting or standing.... rotating the speaker 45 degrees produces a remarkably wide sound stage covering the full width of the room.... ideal for multi row home theater applications.
