Note the Standard upgrade consists of Resonace Control treatment on both the PS and CD modules and PSU upgrades to just the PS module.

Modification description for GNSC MK-II Standard Level Upgrade of the Opus 21
The GNSC OPUS 21 mods DO NOT involve changing any components in the digital or analog signal path... the mods focus on improving the power supplies, mechanical control, and RF environment to allow the OPUS player reach its full potential.
The overall sonic improvement of the MK-II version of our Standard mod is clearly evident. There will be a blacker background, a smoother and more natural presentation and improved air and ambient retrieval.
This modification work is warranted for the remainder of the original factory warranty or 1 year, whichever is longer. Any repairs that are necessary because of faulty parts or workmanship as a result of this modification will be done at no charge except shipping expenses.
Modification details:
The power supply is upgraded significantly in this modification. These improvements include larger value premium grade filter capacitors in critical areas of the unit, power factor correction on the AC input, AC wiring upgrades, and damping treatment of critical components.
Exhaustive transport mechanism damping is performed.
Upgrade of RCA output jacks to Eichman or WBT Next Gen.
Optional fixed output wiring of RCA, XLR or both for those using a pre-amp.
